A time of reflection and prayer for families affected by the Texas floods

Dear ABOTA Members:

The destruction and loss caused by the severe flooding that struck Central Texas and the Hill Country over the Fourth of July weekend is heartbreaking, and our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected, especially the families of those who have lost loved ones and those who are still waiting to hear news. We are grateful to first responders and volunteers for their tireless efforts.

We offer our sincere condolences to all the families who have lost loved ones, and we pray for the search and rescue efforts, which continue minute by minute. Our hope is that comfort is provided to the families so they are able to bear the weight of grief that rests upon their hearts. We pray for them to have the resilience to endure and the courage to face each new day.

As requested, we will provide specific ways to help at the upcoming National Board Meeting in Banff, Canada, on July 12. Those wanting to make donations can visit RedCross.org or call 1-800-RED-CROSS (800-733-2767) to make a financial donation.

Please take time for reflection and prayer during this difficult time for many families affected by the Texas floods.
